Jorge's Biography:
Renewed artist, Jorge Reinoza, creates original, distinctive
works of art utilizing a mixed media of watercolours, pencils and acrylics. His
renderings are inspired by his passions for California and range from
California pop culture, local politics, animals and residence to the religious
and ethereal.
Jorge Reinoza was born in Merida, Venezuela. He studied
business at the university of Los Andes, Merida Venezuela, University of Tampa
Florida, Aliant University San Diego California and CIBU San Diego California.
He has been a Marketing research and business professor in
Venezuela Ecuador Mexico and the United States.
As a professor he has his own vision and way ok learning.
His way of doing is out side the books he wants the students to have their
personal touch and by thinking them. His approach is very interesting and very
artistic.
After a serious car accident in 2000 he went from left
handed to right handed and suffered from many injuries. This event combined
with those of the 9/11 made him suddenly think differently about his life and
humanity. It really constituted a turning point n his life.
Then he started to paint and rapidly build a quit wild range
of paintings illustrating his vision. His work has been honoured and recognized, winning 1st
place at the famous 2004 San Diego county fair and best of show in the august
2004 exposition of the san Diego watercolour society.
His painting “the awakening” is in the contemporary museum
of art in Caracas Venezuela. He has
shown his work at different galleries and museums in San Diego California,
Ensenada-Mexicali Baja California, Mexico, and Caracas-Meridia, Venezuela.
